After a very successful stint at Redwood, a sister Omnicom agency, Rory joined Proximity in 2016. He has been instrumental in ensuring that commercial finance is a key part of the agency and that all work is both profitable and properly resourced.
His finance career started as a Chartered Accountant. But because it was full of interesting and creative people, he then moved rapidly in to the marketing industry. Following a successful career in independent agencies, Rory has worked within Omnicom for nearly six years. He’s very keen that finance works to provide solutions to business problems, and that all work is charged for and resourced efficiently and fairly. Inevitably, this means long, drawn out but (hopefully) productive negotiations with client procurement.
Rory has spent a lot of his time climbing and mountaineering all around the world, which indirectly, is how he met his Australian wife. However, his three children have curtailed much of his outdoor life although they are now big enough to ‘enjoy’ family holidays in the mountains.
