REASON FOR RECRUITMENT
Our SSE Group Account Director is leaving Proximity to go on Maternity leave. We need a strong Client Leader to come on board and drive our exciting SSE business towards agency, client and award success.
We work across the whole SSE Retail business. We’ve had a relationship with SSE for over 6 years and the account if one of our largest. Our remit is to lead their CRM both strategically and creatively. Success is helping our clients produce best in class creative work, supporting their transition into marketing automation across their business and ultimately meeting their sales targets.
SSE is in the process of being bought by OVO, which provides us with an enormous opportunity to be their strategic and creative partner throughout this transition.
WHAT TYPE OF WORK DO WE DELIVER?
All things CRM from comms and data strategy, to marketing automation implementation. Creative concepting right through to creative execution. Our role within the transition into OVO is yet to be defined but this could be a very exciting opportunity to be involved in brand integration across 2 major brands.
REPORTING & CONTEXT
The Group Account Director will report directly into the Managing Partner and will be responsible for 7 client service and project management team members on the business.
Within the role the Group Account Director is responsible for overseeing all areas of the SSE business as well as focusing on growing the business and developing incremental revenue opportunities. This provides an exciting opportunity for a bright and ambitious GAD to demonstrate ownership, strategic thinking and the ability to oversee and drive forward a large piece of CRM business.
THE ROLE AND WHAT’S REQUIRED TO DO IT WELL
Firstly, you’ll be trusted as a key influencer and driver of our successful client business. That’s because you’ll bring two unique skills; a birds-eye-view and a hands-on involvement in your client’s business. With the seniority of your position, you’ll instinctively know how to lead happy and effective teams – getting the very best out of your colleagues. And with your deep knowledge and expertise regarding your clients, you’ll spot opportunities and risks early on. You’re then able to help the agency tackle these things proactively.
We won’t beat around the bush about this – you’ll deliver commercially for the Agency. To do that, you’ll welcome fresh perspectives and alternative POVs. It’s how you stay ahead of the competition and find the best way forward.
You’ll tackle Client challenges intelligently, driving optimum results for the Agency and for them. And because of your deep knowledge & expertise regarding your Clients, you spot opportunities and risks in advance of Agency involvement.
You lead calmly, but with conviction. You have the authority and gravitas to hold a room. You welcome positive challenge! You bring on board fresh perspectives and alternative POVs, to challenge the Status Quo and find the best way-forward.
You’ll work closely with your Project Director and the wider-Project Managers within your team for the successful running of your Clients’ business.
