Account Manager - IKEA
REASON FOR RECRUITMENT
The IKEA team at Proximity London are on the lookout for a strong Account Manager to support the planning and delivery of loyalty/CRM, social and web for IKEA in the UK and Ireland.
The IKEA CRM, social and digital business was won in early 2018 and has rapidly grown to the second biggest account in Proximity. As the lead agency in a multi-agency Omnicom team, we’re ultimately responsible for delivery across a variety of media, through a complex programme of interdependent workstreams.
REPORTING & CONTEXT
The position will report into one of the team’s Account Directors and will be responsible for delivering a large volume of email comms for the IKEA FAMILY loyalty programme, supporting with social media production, online content, IKEA UK/IE brand activity and strategic seasonal planning.
Internally, the AM will join a multiskilled delivery team and work closely with the Planning, Data and Creative teams, as well as liaising and ensuring integration with the other agencies we work with.
THE ROLE AND WHAT’S REQUIRED TO DO IT WELL
The Account Manager is an integral part of the client service and PM function of the IKEA account. Being a brilliant team player, you’ll work hand in hand with Project Management to ensure the smooth delivery of all IKEA UK email activity.
You’ll be happy to hit the ground running and work within a fast-paced environment, always delivering to the highest standard. You’re a sleeve-rolled up kind of person with a voracious appetite to learn and build on your experience. You keenly understand each brief and feed your knowledge, insights and previous learnings in to make sure creatives, designers and copywriters all have what they need to do the best job possible.
You’re goal orientated and you always want to achieve something great. In fact, you’d prefer a project that is challenging to one that’s easy. You operate calmly, even when the pressure is on, making you a pleasure to work with. Your ability to push for brilliant outcomes without undue fuss is why clients want to work with you.
WE’RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:
- Is organised and able to manage and prioritise workload under pressure across various workstreams
- Has solid experience in eCRM, DM, social and web and an understanding of email best practice & tech capabilities
- Comfortable participating in client meetings, such as status, pipeline, results
- Confident managing sizeable projects and presenting strategy and creative to client
- Partners with Project Management to ensure work is superbly delivered on time and on budget
- Enjoys working closely with Data, Planning and Creative team to get to the best answer, collaboratively
- Experience writing effective and considered creative and copy briefs
- Understand and action client feedback, knowing when (and when not) to push back
- Makes sure creative is reviewed, aligned and delivered from a single strategic point of view and tone of voice
- Has a creative eye and constantly pushes for best practice design & creative
- Takes ownership of all projects, ensures both internal, external and client stakeholders are kept up to speed
- Understands and accurately interprets data, able to confidently talk through reports and provide your own insights
- Comfortable managing project financials, including Billings, Accruals, WIP & Forecast, and ensuring monthly finance deadlines are met
- Has a strong understanding of production processes, proactively working to make them better
- Keeps up to date with the latest in innovation and tech within the industry
- Has an interest in interior design and home furnishings
