Proximity London

HOME

Hi there

You need Flash 8 to launch the full version of our website. This page outlines some of our work, key members of staff, contact information and directions on how to find us.

We're an integrated creative agency that believe it's no longer enough to know what people do, or how they feel. Consumer behaviour is too fast, too fragmented. Success can't be built on yesterday's knowledge. But if you know why people behave and feel the way they do, then, and only then, can you hope to change it.

NMA Awards Business to Business Winner: Royalmail.com redesign

Royal Mail had discovered through customer feedback that there was a problem with the understanding of its product range.  In particular, business customers found the products confusing, difficult to compare and the site hard to navigate.

As the UK’s premier delivery service, Royal Mail considers all business in the UK as potential customers, with a particular focus on the small and medium-sized business that tend to rely on the website as their primary source of information for mailing services.

Proximity London was charged with making sure that customers could find the right products for their needs and knew how to purchase them, and to create opportunities to up- and cross-sell.

Royal Mail customers were built into the project to act as testers at various stages of the design and build.   The new design includes more than 100 product descriptions that have been rewritten, as well as clear product comparisons, pricing information and ‘How to pay’ and FAQ sections.  Royal Mail rolled out the new site in phases to coincide with the offline launch of new product categories, in order to present a consistent face to the customer.

The redesign of the site has contributed to a 6% improvement in revenue, giving an ROI of 2:1 in the first two months alone.  Lead generation has also increased by over 100% and customer satisfaction has gone up 20% since launch.  Amongst business customers, site satisfaction has increased by 80% and Royal Mail is now planning to launch a project to redesign the remaining areas of the site.

The judges felt the redesign was elegant, clean and aligned the online and offline channels for the customer.  They also said it displayed a very good ROI and took Royal Mail’s relationship with its business customers to a new level.
