But paying a bill doesn’t stay top of mind for long and the majority of customers were disengaging from the brand after a relatively short period. Our brief was to get them back, targeting a huge database of lapsed customers going back 4 years.
We created awesome animated emails to entice customers to open, engage and buy. The insight was simple but profound. We all dread paying more than our neighbour. So the first email featured a tool that enabled recipients to compare household bills with local averages. The next a gold-plated way to show off.
Nothing short of EPIC, with a cracking 11.7 ROI to date.
We reactivated 24% of the customers contacted! They contributed to 30,000 enquiries and 9,250 additional sales in the two months of re-engagement.
Bounce rates were restricted to just 2.7% and unsubscribes to a minimal 0.11%.
