Brian leads a diverse team of 25 designers – with specialisms ranging from motion design to branding – ensuring the output is well crafted and conceptually sound. He was a key part of the core team helping the agency win Bacardi, Guide Dogs and Specsavers. Brian recently undertook the mammoth task of rebranding the Proximity network across 67 offices worldwide, bringing together a consistant and refreshed brand positioning.
Brian cut his teeth in London at brand agency Unreal, where he became CD and Partner – working with Coca-Cola, P&G, BBC and the Mayor of London. More recently he was CD at The Allotment, prior to that he founded a design studio, Biggie Smalls, inside a large Sydney Ad agency. He joined Proximity in 2015. Brian is the modest recipient of a whole string of awards including a D&AD yellow pencil and Designweek lightbulb. He has judged D&AD in London and the Best awards in the opposite end of the world, Auckland.
As a kiwi he is obviously a big supporter of the All Blacks, he collects 20th Century art prints, and has got to the point where more walls spaces are a necessity. Brian is also Proximity's self-proclaimed Connect 4 champ (challengers welcome).
